Bruce Robinson founded Miles Ahead Sports in the early 1980's with his wife sharon. Bruce, an avid runner for many years is also an accomplished tri-athlete. Bruce qualified for the Iron Man in Hawaii several times. He completed this event with an impressive time of 6 hours 10 minutes. Very few athletes are able to participate in this event let alone finish the course with a time under 12 hours. In 1974 Bruce qualified for the Olympic trials and went on to build a career as a local icon competing in and winning many of the local races. Today, Bruce spends his time talking with the local community about running techniques and equipment at Miles Ahead Sports. Bruce brings his running experience and knowledge of the sport to the store making assessments of his customers running needs and recommendations for proper footwear.

Sharon Robinson, Co-Founder of Miles Ahead Sports runs the day-to-day operations of the store. She handles the finances, ordering, accounting, and human resources, but most importantly Sharon keeps Bruce inline! Sharon can be credited for navigating this family owned business through good times and bad with her keen sense of business sense and her ability to focus on "what is truly important in life, not sweating the small stuff." In short, she works two full-time jobs, managing Miles Ahead Sports and managing Bruce.

Courtney Law is the daughter of Bruce and Sharon. After graduating from Monmouth University, she spent some time in the accounting department of a regional business. She honed her skills managing several tasks while attending to her young family. In 2007 Courtney made a decision to join the family business. As a second generation owner, Courtney brings a new perspective on management and hopes to guide Miles Ahead into the 21st century through the automation of their local retail operation.
